The service department at Will’s Office World, Inc. consists of five full time trained service technicians. Each technician has received training on all of the major products we sell, either in house or factory training. Before our manufactures allow us to sell major products (IE. Copier, Fax) we must have had one or more technician’s factory trained on that specific product model. These people then come back to our shop and put on training classes for the rest of our technicians. The service department takes a proactive approach to servicing our machines covered under service agreement. By this we mean we don’t wait until the machine is malfunctioning before we perform service on it. We have timed intervals, depending on machine, volume, environment and other factors that we follow to perform preventive maintenance (PM’s). During PM’s we try to prevent problems before they occur. This has accomplished by cleaning and replacing parts before they wear out. Still, emergencies do occur. To handle these we have a very rapid response time. As a general rule the following guidelines apply. If a service call is reported in the morning we respond by that afternoon or before. If a service call is reported in the afternoon we respond by the next morning or before. Each technician works very hard to maintain these high standards and goals.
